If you are reading this tutorial, you are probably on your way to creating your first website. In the previous tutorial, we showed you step-by-step how to install WordPress on your domain using Zacky Installer. Now you probably want to enter the WordPress admin panel to actually start working on your website.
After you install the CMS, you will need the WordPress installation URL, username, and password to get into the admin panel. Most automated installers like Zacky Installer will provide you with the credentials after the installation is complete. In case you missed that, we’ll show you another way to enter the admin panel.
Here is the information you’ll need to enter your WordPress Admin Panel:
- WordPress Installation URL – While you install WordPress on the desired domain it will ask you in which directory you want the installation to be made. If you’ve chosen the root directory (by leaving this bar blank) the URL you need to use to access WordPress would be: yourdomainname.com/wp-admin, otherwise, it would be yourdomainname.com/directoryname/wp-admin. Wherever you installed WordPress just add /wp-admin at the end.
- WordPress Username – this is the name you choose when installing WordPress.
- WordPress Password – and also the password you choose.
How to Enter the WordPress Admin Panel:
Step 1: Enter your domain name and add /wp-admin at the end. Note: If you have installed WordPress in a different root directory, you will need to insert it in between the domain name and /wp-admin.
Step 2: To access your WordPress admin panel, you will need to enter the username and password that you chose when you previously installed WordPress.
Note that your username and password may be different from the one you use to log in to Zacky Installer.
Now you are ready to take your first steps in WordPress!
